Fifteen years ago, a noble idea developed in the minds of a group of civic spirited Ilocanos who wanted to promote cultural awareness and preserve the rich historical and cultural heritage of Ilocos Norte. They wanted to rekindle in the youth and future generations the pride of their heritage. The magnificent idea developed and is now a living reality, KANNAWIDAN, the Iloko Foundation of Arts and Culture.

Last January 29,2014 until February 3,2014 we celebrated Kannawidan at the Quirino Stadium.Many tourists went at the Quirino Stadium to watch different programs. Different towns also presented their products,there was also a pageant  “Saniata ti Ylocos.”Many artist went at to Stadium to entertain the Ilokano’s.

This is another successful year for the Province of Ilocos Sur.

 
               

                                                                            Reflection

                          During the third grading period in ICT I had learn a lot of things like putting images in our exercises using the Image tag and SRC attributes setting background color and background image in our exercises.

                

               I am so happy because I did not encounter any problem in making my exercises.And I hope that this coming fourth grading, I will not encounter any problem related to our subject, ICT.

                             Essence of Christmas

         Every 25^th day of December,we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior.And every 25^th day of December,we are celebrating the Christmas Day.

        Christmas Day is the day where the family gathers together to celebrate the  birth of Jesus Christ.Every family member who are far from their family finds a way to be with their family on this day.But some people just celebrate Christmas even though they are far from their families like the OFW’s.And on this day,family members are giving gifts to each member.Other people also give gifts to other people.Giving and Sharing your blessings is the true essence of Christmas.And it is not about how expensive or how cheap the gift you receive or give as long as the gift came from the bottom of his/her heart.

      Everyday is Christmas Day so let us give love to everyone and maintain or let us make our world more peaceful and a safe place to live.

     

  Today,our country is being affected by many calamities like earthquakes and floods.What do you think is the reason  why our country suffers these kinds of calamities.

   Climate change is the reason why we suffer these kinds of calamities.  Climate change is caused by factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred to as "global warming".Human activities like disposing garbage at the rivers,cutting of trees and burning plastics also causes climate change.

     If we stop these bad doings,the effect of climate change to us is not too much.

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

      Nowadays, girls and boys are now equal, unlike the past years, boys are always higher than girls.  Girls just stay at home doing household chores, cooking, washing dishes and clothes, sewing and others. But now, there is equality between boy and girls.

      Today, some countries are in need of workers like welders and labourers. And this is an opportunity for the women. Because nowadays not only boys can do this works, girls can do the works of a man now. There are some women who proved that girls have the right in this society and have the right to be in the highest position in this society like President Gloria Arroyo and President Corazon C. Aquino.

       So, we must respect the rights of  women in our society.

  

                    "Going Global Through English Language"
  
                There are different countries in the world.Each country differs from the behavior of the people and also differs in the languages they use.But each country will  understand and will be able to communicate with each other by only using one language.
                And there is only one key so that each country will be able to communicate with different countries.That language is the "ENGLISH LANGUAGE".It is considered as the 'UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE OR MEDIUM of COMMUNICATION" by using this language,we could bridge the gap.We can also improve our ability in speaking and communicating with other people.And it also help to improve our life and for the progress of our country.
                  English Language is the "KEY' to easily communicate with other people from different countries.

     

REFLECTION

     In our I.C.T. class,I have learned  alot of things during the Second Grading Period.We had alot of activities in the Notepad.And  some of our classmates  joined  the  Statistics  Jingle.I have also learned how to use the HTML  Tags like the Stand Alone Tags and  the Container Tag.
      I  just hope that next grading,we  will learn more things about computer  and I will not be encountering  some  problems and  I  hope that we  will again enjoy  the next grading.
